Balinese Room
This famous building, perched atop a pier stretching into the Gulf of Mexico, was renovated from a dark gambling hall into a restaurant and club with a panoramic view of the Gulf. After stabilizing the structure, an exterior “face lift,” including exterior lighting and painting, was executed. The location of the building on a pier required innovative approaches to otherwise common construction procedures. Scaffolding had to be built out from the structure itself and suspended over the water; the air conditioning unit was hoisted via helicopter to the top of the building.
In keeping with the traditional look of the club, Holliday Builders designed to very unique bamboo bars.
