Campeche Shores
Holliday Builders created, designed, built and marketed Campeche Shores amid the wetlands
of West Galveston Island for those who love nature, golf and a lifestyle free from home
maintenance. This planned community is adjacent to Galveston’s golf course, and has its own
putting/chipping green. The pedestrian and bicycle-friendly environment includes extensive
landscaping and a community pier and gazebo for nature and wildlife observation. The lights of
the Moody Gardens Pyramids illuminate the horizon at night, and the area is a popular spot
forSand Hill Cranes and all manner of shorebirds. The project was created in two phases of 30
units each.

Wholebody Neutron Irradiator Center
Holliday Builders and UTMB forged new ground in the design and construction of a facility to be the very first of its kind. This nuclear physics facility houses a chamber designed for suspension of a person in a radiated environment. Its purpose is examination of bone structure and diagnosis of bone disease. The construction of such a building required working closely with the design engineers and working with new materials and construction techniques to erect a completely novel building type. Holliday Builders met the challenge by incorporating change orders while still maintaining the original schedule and deadline.

Woodlands Peace Palace and Century Exploration
This unique three-story building houses space for Transcendental Meditation on the ground
floor, and offices of a geophysical exploration company on the top two stories. In keeping with
the beliefs and requirements of the owners, all natural materials were used in the building, such
as cork floors, marble, even non-toxic paints. Tolerances of the woodframe construction were
maintained to within 1 cm. Inside walls contain special insulation, the exterior is of brick and
elaborate cast stone, room dimensions and orientation are significant to the ancient Vedic

South Coast Cement Silos
Holliday Builders supervised the erection of two massive steel silos, each 96 feet high and each
with a capacity for 2,000 tons of cement. The challenge was to erect the silos and some 1,000
feet of underground pipeline and to install the complex pneumatic cement barge unloading
equipment within a very short timeline. The silos are located on the site of Galveston’s old bulk
terminal, just east of the Pelican Island Bridge.
